Meet Kelly, a talented jewelry artist whose journey is as unique as the pieces she creates! Kelly first discovered her love for beaded jewelry while serving as an officer in the British Royal Navy. But it wasn’t until a move to the USA in 2013, when she left her career as an Air Traffic Controller to start a family, that her creative path truly began to take shape. After three years in Virginia Beach, Kelly and her family returned to the UK, settling in the coastal town of Gosport. Inspired by her surroundings and her love for beachcombing, she took up metalsmithing—turning found sea glass into stunning, handcrafted jewelry. In 2019, she officially launched her business, working primarily with silver and gemstones. Though proud of being self-taught, Kelly is now taking her craft even further, studying for a Diploma in Silver Jewellery with Jewellers Academy to refine her skills and master new techniques. Beyond creating jewelry, Kelly has built a highly engaged community on Instagram, where she shares her journey, creative process, and her ever-growing collection of tools (she’s a self-confessed tool addict! ????). Her passion for learning and openly sharing her knowledge has now led her to teaching sea glass jewelry classes at the new Jewellers Academy training centre in Brighton. Kelly’s story is a testament to following your passions, embracing change, and creating beauty from life’s unexpected turns. ? Artist Spotlight: Bailey Langvardt of BA Silver ? Meet Bailey Langvardt, the creative force behind BA Silver! Based in Kansas, Bailey handcrafts stunning western-inspired jewelry, with a focus on engagement and wedding rings that tell a story. Her signature scroll engravings can be found on every piece, adding a personal touch to her custom silver and gold designs. Bailey's journey began in 2016, when she purchased a silversmithing starter kit during her senior year of high school. What started as a passion project soon grew into BA Silver, a full-time business she’s been running since 2019—when she’s not helping around the ranch, of course! While Bailey is mostly self-taught, she’s sharpened her skills through classes in engraving and stone setting, including training at GRS and an annual class with The Cowgirl Legacy, a close-knit group of female western silversmiths. Growing up on a ranch, Bailey’s love for western life runs deep. Whether she's riding horses, running cattle with her dad, or helping her husband on his family ranch, the rugged beauty of ranch life is always her inspiration. Bailey’s goal with every piece? To combine beauty and functionality—creating jewelry that’s as durable as it is stunning, made to withstand the hardworking spirit of the west.
