???? Exciting Progress in Our RILEM TC APS Technical Group 3 Project! On February 27th, we held our third meeting for the RILEM TC APS Technical Group 3 on “Ecotoxicity and Potential Release of Pollutants and Microplastics from Roads”. While our first two meetings focused on getting to know experts from around the world, this session was a significant step forward—we discussed the proposed plan for Stage 1 of our work! What makes this project truly special is the interdisciplinary collaboration—bringing together experts from the asphalt industry, microplastics research, and ecotoxicology. The diverse perspectives ensure a comprehensive approach to understanding and addressing the environmental impact of road materials. Looking forward to seeing this project take shape and contribute valuable insights to the field! ???? ?? Stay tuned for more updates!

What a pleasure to be hosted by a gentleman, Prof. Dr.Dharamveer Singh, who created a great opportunity to exchange best practices on recycling in India, of course helped by Dr. Solomon Debbarma and a marvelous team of colleagues and young motivated group of students. First of all I learned, a lot, from industry work going on nearby Mumbai and then I had the pleasure to contribute by talking about strategies to maximize paving materials recycling by sharing the experience gained within #RILEM activities such as the RILEM TC APS with Emmanuel CHAILLEUX #RILEM TCs RAP and PARs Kamilla Vasconcelos Gabriele Tebaldi Eshan Dave, as well as defining "Recyclability Potential" by also looking at the results obtained within #RUBBERAP a project carried out by the SMARTIlab UNIPA at the Dipartimento Ingegneria UniPa on the feasibility of recycling rubberised asphalt in wearing courses for Ecopneus Thanks so much to everyone, I am very keen to continue the visit with colleagues at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and learn directly from a country that has so much to give #sustainablepavements #alternativepavingmaterials
