??New Report! RRI conducted research in 35 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to track the latest progress on the forest tenure rights of Indigenous, Afro-descendant, and local community women. The results are alarming: these countries exhibit startlingly low progress on securing legal rights for the women who play a critical role in managing and collectively protecting the world’s forests.? With just 5 years left to achieve the gender #SDGs, and 30 years since the landmark #BeijingDeclaration, the report warns that the world has significant work to do to meet its global targets for gender justice! "To maximize impact, we help communities align and translate their data with the regulatory and sustainability frameworks of government and corporate stakeholders so they can leverage this information to shift power dynamics in their favor." ?? One way he does this is through coordinating our groundbreaking community monitoring initiative and the Interlaken Group.
