After 29 years of service, this 1.5MG potable water storage tank underwent a comprehensive rehabilitation to restore its protective coatings and ensure long-term durability. The original coatings, having reached the end of their service life, were fully removed and replaced with advanced solutions from Tnemec Company, Inc. Above the waterline, Series 21 (Epoxoline) was applied for its proven resistance to environmental exposure, while below the waterline, Series FC22 (Epoxoline FC) provided fast-curing, high-performance protection ideal for immersion service. This extensive process not only revitalized the tank’s structural integrity but also underscored the importance of proactive maintenance in extending the life span of critical infrastructure. The transition from aged, deteriorated coatings to a robust, high-quality finish highlights the advancements in coating technologies and their role in ensuring safe, reliable water storage. Such upgrades are essential in maintaining compliance with water safety standards and protecting against long-term corrosion.
