We are thrilled to share that Silver Lyan has been named Best Hotel Bar in the U.S. as a part of Food & Wine 2024 Global Tastemaker Awards!

We are happy to share Silver Lyan Cherry Blossom pop-up segment was posted on the NBC4 website, featuring our bartender, Sam Nellis. The Hanami Pop-Up Collaboration with James Beard Rising Star Chef, Masako Morishita from March 19th-30th. Although the Hanami Pop-Up is fully booked, the closing party on March 30th, is walk-ins only with standing and dancing encouraged. The à la carte menu includes our Hanami Picnic Bento Box with spam musubi “onigirazu,” miso togarashi peanuts, and sesame zucchini pickles served with a split of Laurent-Perrier Harmony Champagne. Also featured are Tater Tots with shio koji ranch and scallions, Karaage Fried Chicken, and a Strawberry Fruit Sando.

As it’s World Water Day, we’re proud to announce that we have joined forces with Made Blue Foundation, a charity on a mission to provide everyone with access to clean drinking water. This partnership means that that when you stay at Riggs Washington DC, or any other Lore Group hotel, you can sleep (and shower) easier knowing that you're helping providing water where it’s most needed, from Asia and Africa to the Americas. Our partnership funds 100 litres of clean, fresh water for every room night sold across our group. Guests are given this ‘gift’ to pay forward — an amount funded, in its entirety, by us. Every guest has the power to decide where, and whom, the total amount made possible by their stay will support: each occupied night provides one full day of clean water for a household in an area of water scarcity.? As part of our partnership, we are working with the Made Blue team to educate our teams, and guests, on simple ways to be more conscious of their own water consumption.?
