Catch Team RCT later this month March 18-20 at the second annual Lubricant Expo North America. Our team will be ready to present and discuss our light cut fatty acid portfolio for the lubricant and metalworking fluid industry. Caprylic Acid continues to be very tight due the imbalance with the very soft Capric Acid - but RCT is ready to ship & serve our customers!
The Rierden Chemical & Trading Company team had a very productive couple days in beautiful Johor Bahru & Singapore. We are blessed to have such great partners and friends supporting our global business efforts. Another POC in the books! Changing Indonesian biodiesel & export tax policies, a firming global glycerine market and high palm oil prices - many moving parts impacting the global Oleochemical industry in 2025. Always great to see our industry friends. Now onto Johor Bahru for a very important supplier visit and Singapore for important customer meetings.
Tomorrow the RCT Team will start our long journey to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for the Palm Oil Conference 2025. While the journey is long, the time investment is no doubt worthwhile as the opportunity to meet face-to-face with our oleochemical suppliers from SE Asia and around the globe is extremely valuable. Looking forward to seeing our suppliers & partners and developing a strategic supply plan for the coming year!

On this Valentine’s Day 2025 – we think it’s fitting to highlight a very special team member at RCT that has long been the heart of our business. RCT’s humble beginnings started in 1992. As employee #1, Tracy Kruse was not far behind that starting at RCT in 1996 (she was very young at the time and remains very young). Without Tracy – RCT would not be the company we are today. That holds true for her instrumental process & operations development 30 years ago and remains true for the daily value she brings to the business every day today. Whether it be moving railcars around the country, managing containers from all over the world or managing an increasingly complex inventory system at RCT, Tracy has done and seen it all and continues to do it all.
