We are creating stronger communities on college campuses. Three months and three campuses later, we've learned how great an impact Desi can have in building community through shared rides and meaningful relationships. We watched so many users connect while making dough (one ND user making $3k+ this past semester). These highlights didn't come without their struggles with plenty of iterations, a sacrificed semester abroad, and the amazing grit of our team. We thought launching campuses 2 and 3 would've been our 2023 highlight, but our billboard in Times Square took the cake! Thanks to Conor Bradshaw and our partner Brex for showcasing us earlier this month in the heart of NYC. One month in and we've been blown away by Notre Dame's response to Desi with over 15% of campus using! ?? With 2.3k+ Desi requests in these past 4 insane weeks, we have only just begun. Our early traction was enough to get flown out to Boston to be a panelist on the Notre Dame Business Council's "The Art of the Startup" where I had the fortune to join alongside ND founders Cory Rellas (Drizly) and Tommy Flaim (Fox & Robin). We discussed all about the behind the scenes of building at different stages. Looking ahead, the growing list of schools requesting their own Desi community has shown us just how great a need there is around the country. Desi trending on campus even resulted in a few ND students going as Desi users this Halloween! It has been surreal to see a high adoption rate early on but as our team always says 'the job ain't finished'. The team is busily at work iterating on features and prepping to release our first major update next week!
