Big congratulations to our LBT team for an outstanding performance at the regional Five Star Roadeo hosted by GTRANS this past weekend! Our skilled bus operators took on the challenge course, showcasing their top-tier safe driving skills and securing 4th place overall among eight regional transit agencies. ? ?? A special shoutout to Gabriel B. (1st place), David V. (2nd place), and Jesus C. (3rd place) for bringing home the top honors! ? ?? Best of luck to Gabriel as he advances to the Southern California Regional Bus Roadeo with Riverside Transit Agency this weekend!

We welcomed 500+ attendees for the American Public Transportation Association's Marketing, Communications & CX Workshop in Long Beach this week. Our #LBT team had a fantastic time hosting tours aboard the AquaLink, sharing our fleet electrification efforts, and showcasing the incredible art featured in our Transit Gallery and bus stops. Attendees also gained valuable insights from our team: Lee Burner discussed the impact of operations and customer experience on ridership, Mike Gold highlighted the importance of art in public transit, and Arantxa C. shared EGC and the latest on social media trends. Our first #APTA Water Taxi ride yesterday— MCX Workshop attendees were able to experience our aquatic wheels! ????? The AquaLink is a summer service that takes customers from one side of our bay to the other. It will be back in service really soon. Had a great time representing Long Beach Transit as a judge at the 2025 Foothill Transit Bus Roadeo! Lots of fun meeting peers from neighboring agencies, meeting Zora (sweetest K-9 with the Transit Services Bureau), judging the tough task of left-hand reverse, and having my colleague, Billy Anderson, Jr., and his team there. Looking forward to the 5 Star Roadeo at GTrans in a couple of weeks!
