Seeing Ricoma embroidery machines featured on the Sunday morning news was not something we expected. At the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution, incarcerated individuals use these machines as part of the production process for the denim workwear brand Prison Blues. CBS news recently explored this topic, highlighting how these programs operate and their impact on both the workers and the industries they support.
