On Wednesday, February 12th, our CEO, Janet Magnuson, attended the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce's Louis R. Miller Business Leadership Awards Breakfast at the Staten Island Hilton Garden Inn. Lou Miller, a successful businessperson and dedicated community activist, believed in giving back through volunteering. Each year, these awards recognize outstanding Staten Island business owners and nonprofit leaders who demonstrate hard work, mentorship, resilience, and community service. Congratulations to the 2024 honorees, Vladimir B., Peter Botros, Candace Gonzalez, Roosevelt Board, Arlene Sorkin, Arthur McCarthy, and Dr. Janet Leslie. May you continue to make Staten Island a better place to live and work!

It is with great sadness that we announce that Edward R. Rabowski passed away January 16th, 2025. Initially involved with Richmond Home Need Services, Inc, and then later moving to Executive Director, and then Board Chairperson of Stella Orton Home Care Agency, Inc. Ed led the growth of the organizations. His commitment, leadership, and spirit have left an indelible mark on all who have worked with him. Ed was not just a leader but a mentor and friend to many. Under his previous guidance, our organization reached new heights, achieving milestones that once seemed unattainable. His legacy is not only in the accomplishments of our organization but in the countless lives he touched, and the positive impact made in our community. Deepest condolences are extended to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
