It's National Apprenticeship Week! This week celebrates the value of Registered Apprenticeships in building a skilled workforce, creating career pathways, and strengthening our economy. At the DU Family of Companies, we’re proud of our Fire Alarm System Technician (FAST) Apprenticeship Program. This 4-year, U.S. Department of Labor-registered program combines 8,000 hours of hands-on learning and instruction to train future Journeyperson Fire Alarm System Technicians, including skills in intrusion detection, security cameras, and access control systems. The program recently celebrated the graduation of its first four-year class of technicians, a testament to the power of apprenticeships to transform lives and industries. Going Above and Beyond to Thank Others Rich King, Senior Inspection Technician at Rich Fire Protection made these plaques?with his own hands as a way to go above and beyond to say "Thank You" to Michelle Campeggio, Inspection Coordinator, and Mark Lucie, 669 Sprinkler Foreman. The inspiration came from one of Russ Becker's Executive Communications when he emphasized the importance of thanking others and said, "Thank you, team, for everything that you do to help us win every single day." As a result, Rich felt it necessary to find a creative way to express thanks. Rich's dedication and innovative approach, which have significantly impacted the company's morale, are a true reflection of APi Group's Company values. Safety Day at Rich Fire Protection! From Lift certifications to fire extinguisher training - it was a great day for the Rich Fire Team. Safety leader Mike Winklestine held a scissor lift training session for recertification. Andrew Kyryczenko, one of the office’s inspectors, provided instruction on proper fire extinguisher use. This included types of fire extinguishers, when each type should be used, and the appropriate way to use a fire extinguisher. Victaulic and Reliable representatives spent time with the branch team. And, Connie Fedison, the Service & Inspection Administrator, introduced the newest and youngest member of the Rich Fire team sporting team Rich Fire branded gear! Caring for our communities - through gardening. On Thursday, June 13th, Creative Gardeners brought their smiles and passion for gardening to Rich Fire Protection. This incredible team of volunteers weeded and planted new, beautiful flowers in front of our home office in Pleasantville, NJ. Working alongside the Creative Gardeners from Rich Fire Protection are – Tyler Bowman (Shop Technician), Angel Negron, Jr. (Senior CAD Designer), Angel Negron, III (Designer) & Frank Rich III (Branch Leader).
