Scholar-athletes at Division 1 schools like Rice University compete at an elite level in a way that builds extraordinary discipline, perseverance, endurance and resilience. Sunday’s banquet was a celebration of all of our talented scholar-athletes and the professors who have empowered their successes in the academic and athletic arenas. In Rice’s debut season in the American Athletic Conference, 300 Owls made the All-Academic team, the most of any school in the conference. I firmly believe that their accomplishments in the classroom are directly attributable to the character and drive they’ve built in practices and on game days, meet days and match days at Rice and throughout their lives. https://lnkd.in/gC7UkGqT
