Rhymes with Reason

Great things take time. In 2007, I remember going home after school printing out lyrics, googling double entendres and using hip hop to help me make sense of the world. I also remember going home after school and studying the stat lines of my favorite football and basketball players. Just for fun. In 2017, I was finishing my undergrad at Brown, after spending time after classes and spending late nights during my summers working on a plan to launch Rhymes with Reason. As of Summer 2024, Rhymes with Reason has utilized lyrics as a tool to directly help 33,000 students/teachers across 23 states in the US. Our newest partnership ties all of my childhood and teenage after-hours pursuits together, in a very full circle way. I am thrilled to announce that we are partnering with the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION INC, a philanthropic arm of one of the greatest franchises in all of sports (The New England Patriots) who are leading the charge on student literacy by funding RWR for more than 500 students in the Greater Boston Area via Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and Boston area schools. We are so excited to see how students are transformationally impacted by the combination of the Patriots Foundation's generosity & our innovative ed tech program.

We're recapping the first year of our incredible partnership with Rhymes with Reason, a literacy program that helps students learn important English words by showcasing their existence in widely-known music lyrics. Along with Cavs Forward Georges Niang, we brought this program to the E. Prep Cliffs School with two Boys & Girls Clubs, where the kids showed us their best vocabulary and rap skills!
