??? Mission Accomplished! ??? I’m thrilled to share that our stem cell research mission has officially launched to the International Space Station! Working alongside an incredible team, we’ve spent countless hours in the lab, refining our methods and preparing our samples, all to explore how microgravity affects stem cell growth and anti-inflammatory properties. This mission represents the culmination of intense teamwork and dedication. Together with the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust and Rhodium Scientific, our vision for this project became a reality. This collaboration has not only expanded our capabilities but has also highlighted the strength of Puerto Rican research on a global stage. A special thanks to Maribella Domenech for give me the opportunity to be in this wonderful project! Seeing our work reach the ISS is truly a dream come true! ??Nuestro programa de Research Grants, enviará por primera vez ciencia boricua al espacio Esto es gracias a una colaboración con Rhodium Scientific quienes se enfocan en llevar la ciencia al espacio y traducir los resultados en productos útiles en la Tierra. La nave llevará a bordo 6,000 libras de suministros, equipos y experimentos a la Estación Espacial Internacional. ????La investigación local de la Dra. Maribella Domenech, estudiará cómo la microgravedad afecta el crecimiento y las propiedades antiinflamatorias de las células madre mejorando su uso en aplicaciones de salud en el espacio y en la Tierra. La misión Rhodium StemCell 01, viajará a bordo de una cápsula de carga Dragon sobre un cohete Falcon 9 de SpaceX junto a más de 2,000 experimentos.
