Last month, we held our quarterly learning summit with our store and restaurant managers. One of our favorite parts of the day is sharing our successes (and even some losses). We put our heads together to discuss best practices and new tactics because teamwork even involves work outside of our stores.

We're not just a convenience store. We're a people-centered culture.
关于我们
Rhodes Convenience Stores isn’t a convenience store; we’re people. People that know a customer’s favorite drink before they reach the drive-up window. People that notice if a daily customer misses a visit because they’re under the weather. People that make dinner for a family juggling so many activities they don't have time to cook. Through our people and relationship-focused culture, Rhodes Convenience Stores has completely raised customers’ expectations of the convenience store experience. We're always interested in meeting people that welcome the challenge of exceeding our customers' expectations. With only five minutes or less to spend with a customer, our people can recognize when a customer needs a smile or cheerful conversation to brighten their day. They also adapt when a customer only has time to get in, get what they need and get to their next destination on time. Either way, our people are alert, receptive and ready to hustle to meet customers' expectations. Are you, or someone you know, that kind of person? If so, it's time to talk to consider a career at Rhodes Convenience Stores. Apply online at www.Rhodes101.com/Application.aspx.

Congratulations to Rhodes' February Teacher of the Month Brittany Lopez from Morgan Elementary School! Here are a few things community members had to say about Mrs. Lopez: ?? She is very intelligent and sweet just an awesome person all the way around she is so good with the kids and she loves her job!!!! ?? Mrs. Lopez is very sweet and caring. She takes great care of her students and make sure each of them has fun learning environment. She takes her time with every student to make sure they are doing good and have the best day possible. She deserves to be Rhodes Teacher of the Month because she strives for each day to be a day that the students go home and can’t wait to share what took place with their parents. ?? She told me when she got her certificate for teaching that she wanted to make a difference. She loves on her students like they were her own children. She is kind, patient talented. ?? Brittany goes above and beyond for her students. She engages at their level and provides great hands on learning. She brings a lot of fun and energy to the classroom and really makes all the students enjoy class. ?? She loves her students and works really hard at making sure they receive what they need to be successful. The added bonus, she makes sure her students know they are loved and can accomplish anything. In December, we asked Paducah and McCracken County community members to nominate their favorite teacher(s) for Rhodes Teacher of the Month. Hundreds of nominations poured in quickly! Monthly winners will be announced each month on social media through May. Each winner will receive a Rhodes gift card and goodie basket. Rhodes is committed to supporting local schools and teachers in all of its communities and looks forward to recognizing more Paducah teachers for their hard work with the Rhodes Teacher of the Month awards.

STORE SPOTLIGHT: Say "hi" to our Farmington team on Columbia St. We asked General Manager Dustin Pinkston for a few words about his group. Here's what he said: "When I took over this Rhodes location about nine months ago I wondered how I would like it and remembered how nervous I was. Fast forward nine months later and I could not have imagined how much I love working with this group of people that make coming to work so enjoyable. I once again have established new and great relationships with our team here and love being the leader of this fun group! "If you can laugh together, you can work together," said Robert Orben. We also asked District Manager Kirstin Smith to say a few words about this team. Here's what she said: "The Columbia St. store stands out with its uniqueness. The ambiance at this spot is unparalleled by most places. Manager Dustin and his team consistently lift the spirits of every customer who enters. They truly capture the essence of what Rhodes represents. I'm proud to have them representing my Rhodes District 4!" Thank you to all of our team members at our Columbia location in Farmington. We appreciate all that you do! Team members not pictured: Angela Hargrove Kenny Fleming Conceetta Myers Gina Inglis Kaylean Weible Phoenix Perkins

Last week we held our quarterly learning summit! Every three months, we gather our general managers, assistant managers, and restaurant managers to spend a day learning, asking questions, and connecting with each other. In each summit, we open up the floor for our team to either ask questions, start conversations, or get insight on topics. This time is valuable as we encourage our team to feel empowered to speak up on things that are on their mind. The whole day gets us set for another three months of hard work and success.
