The BiteSight app honestly made Friday lunch (a Rho benefit for those interested in joining the team - we're hiring!) fun! This is a big trend in Europe, so love that BiteSight is driving adoption here in the States. 2. The founder, Lucious M., delivered the food! Amazing to see him so invested in the end-to-end experience to identify ways to improve the experience. 3. I've lost a lot of sleep over the last 3 years of building Default. A lot of it due to being stressed about how to best optimize our balance sheet. How much do we put in treasuries? How much do we put in bank accounts A, B, and C? The SVB crisis last year was tough. There was a lot of tumult as founders moved banks, migrating millions of dollars of their company's money between 4-5 accounts, all at different banks. And then came the Evolve Bank crisis earlier this year. It's been a never-ending, super-stressful process. We started banking with Rho earlier this year and I've been nothing short of starstruck by the Rho team's obsession with their customers, responsiveness, and willingness to roll up their sleeves to help us figure out how to make the most of our Rho account. Yesterday, I got home to a package that had been delivered to me. An Eight Sleep Pod from the Rho team to keep me well-rested and on my A-game. Absolute masterclass in customer obsession and service from this team. Can't recommend them and their product enough! What's one mistake that dooms founders during fundraising? ?? Overconfidence. While you might be feeling good after that meeting, never assume it's a done deal.
