As we mark our 100th anniversary here at Rheem, I want to share additional information we found of our grandmother's Rheem hot water heater—a true testament to the durability, quality, and longevity that have been at the heart of Rheem since its inception. In fact, during its journey, we discovered email exchanges from 2016 involving the gas company and a technician, reflecting how its legacy endures. Our family was able to cross reference the serial number and model number to find that this Rheem water heater, was actually manufactured back in 1959, has stood the test of time for an incredible 66 years—a symbol of craftsmanship and reliability! Its history isn't just about heating water; it's about countless family moments and decades of unwavering performance. As we celebrate a century of innovation and excellence, stories like this remind me why I’m proud to work at Rheem. Our products are more than utilities—they're companions that stay with families for generations. Here's to 100 years of Rheem and a future that builds on this legacy of resilience and quality! Big News out of California last week as a dynamic public-private partnership delivered a blueprint to scale installation of electric heat pumps and heat pump water heaters to meet the state’s ambitious goal to install six million heat pumps by 2030.?#RheemManufacturing is proud to participate in the #CaliforniaHeatPump Partnership and I joined manufacturers, installers and electric utility partners at the California Energy Commission Electrification Summit to outline the market path toward achieving the goal, paving the way for more efficient and cost-effective building system solutions for millions of Californians.?The California Heat Pump Partnership, through the support and leadership of #CommissionerAndrewMcAllister and the #BuildingDecarbonizationCoalition, embarked on a 12 month project to identify barriers to scaling adoption of heat pumps and the opportunities to transform consumer demand through contractor and consumer engagement.?I encourage contractors, homeowners and channel partners to check out the Blueprint (below) as we embark on the journey together to enable the state’s building efficiency and decarbonization goals. https://lnkd.in/gDBH77GD

Congratulations to Rheem Manufacturing’s HTPG Scottsboro and Nuevo Laredo AC52 operations for recently reaching 1,000,000 safe working hours. Acting with responsibility starts with safety. Taking responsibility for the safety of ourselves and each other is foundational to how we work. Thank you to Mark Evans, Hershel Fee, Enrique Noche, and Luis Portilla for your leadership on safety. I enjoyed celebrating this milestone with the Rheem Scottsboro team and great to see Jeremy Lindsey marking the occasion with the Rheem Nuevo Laredo team.

Last month, ASHRAE President M. Dennis Knight (left) inducted Senior Principal Engineer Kevin Mercer into the ASHRAE College of Fellows. Kevin, a 25-year HVAC/R industry veteran, develops indoor air products that support our long-term sustainability goals. He is also a key contributor to ASHRAE and currently chairs the association’s Technical Activities Committee. Congratulations on this special career achievement, Kevin!
