  • ?? Member Monday Spotlight: Angels of Love RGV ?? This Women’s History Month, we proudly shine a light on Angels of Love RGV, a nonprofit making a difference in the lives of survivors of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. Led by Founder & CEO Della Perez Rodriguez, Angels of Love provides vital services like education, legal advocacy, support groups, and outreach programs — helping women, children, and families rebuild their lives in safe and loving environments. From September 2023 to November 2024, Angels of Love reached over 9,900 individuals through community outreach and provided direct services to over 500 victims — powerful proof of their commitment to making our community safer. This month, they’re also scheduling school presentations for “Expect Respect,” a program teaching teens about healthy relationships and how to prevent dating violence. ??   • The Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (RGVHCC) proudly announces a milestone achievement as Cynthia M. Sakulenzki, President/CEO, celebrates 25 years of transformative leadership. Since joining the Chamber in 2000, Sakulenzki has been a force behind its remarkable growth and impactful initiatives, cementing the Chamber’s role as a cornerstone of business development in the region. Under Sakulenzki’s leadership, the Chamber has achieved numerous accolades, including the prestigious USHCC Medium Chamber of the Year 2024 for the eight time and twelve TAMACC Chamber of the Year Awards. Sakulenzki herself has received numerous accolades for her exceptional leadership. She was named one of the Top 10 Women in Texas by TAMACC and awarded the Yellow Rose of Texas by Governor Rick Perry. Additionally, several Texas legislators have bestowed proclamations recognizing her contributions to the Rio Grande Valley. Her vision and dedication have propelled the organization to national recognition, showcasing the strength and potential of the Small Businesses in the Rio Grande Valley. Sakulenzki has spearheaded innovative programs that have shaped the region’s business landscape. Initiatives such as the Latina Leadership Conference, which empowers over 400 women annually through impactful workshops and panels, and the Small Business Academy Series, which equips entrepreneurs with essential skills through a six-course program. Additionally, she launched the Women of Distinction Awards, celebrating trailblazing women across the Valley, and the Manic Monday Mixers, fostering valuable connections among hundreds of professionals throughout each year. Reflecting on her 25-year journey, Sakulenzki shared, "The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has always been a labor of love for me. Witnessing the growth of our members and the positive impact on the community continues to inspire my commitment to our mission." Cynthia’s achievements also include establishing partnerships with organizations like LiftFund, PeopleFund, SBDC UTRGV, SBA and hosting procurement opportunities with industry leaders like Walmart. Her leadership has not only expanded membership but has also elevated the Chamber’s influence regionally and nationally. Sakulenzki’s impact extends far beyond the Chamber. Her unwavering advocacy for Hispanic businesses has inspired countless individuals and organizations to reach new heights.
