NEW POSITION: Accounting Manager with HR background – Direct Hire – Trenton, MI Our client, a small but well established family owned manufacturing and distribution company is looking to add to their team with an Accounting Manager with HR background.?This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in a similar environment and wants to help a company transition from one platform to another, increasing the automation tools and efficiencies with the new ERP platform. IN OFFICE. The right candidate will have: ·????????Accounting Manager role will be responsible for all bookkeeping, reporting, reconciliations, expense monitoring, and working closely with the CPA ·????????Administrative side to HR.?Low turnover, so most HR is oversight of wage and performance reviews, payroll and 401k deposits, insurance renewals and the like ·????????Will have one direct report to help with the AP/AR side ·????????Ownership in their work, strong computer skills including use of ERP systems.?Having worked within a migrating system will be a BIG plus! What Some Business Owners Can Learn From The US Forest Service The recent stock market activity and pre-election fervor are enough to give an average citizen mental whiplash.?Add the stress of owning a business (pass the Pepto, please), which can lead to making unnecessary or drastic decisions. In climates like these, business owners may feel like they are lost on a vast hiking trail; Not wanting to send distress signals or disclose concerns to peers or employees, which could get out to competition and erode company confidence. That’s when we should take a tip from our friends at the US Forest Service to STOP: IF YOU GET LOST STOP ?? As soon as you realize you may be “lost”: stop, stay calm, stay put. Panic is your greatest enemy. THINK ?? Go over in your mind how you got to where you are. Do not move at all until you have a specific reason to take a step. This may be a good time to audit your people and processes. OBSERVE ?? Determine the directions you need to go based on where you are standing. Is everyone on your team working toward that goal? Are they moving in the same direction? PLAN ?? Based on your thinking and observations, come up with some possible plans, think them through then act on one of them. If you are not very, very confident in the route, then it’s always better to stay put. This may be a good time to reach out to a third party, who can assess your situation with fresh eyes and energy, and really talk through your options.
