A Reflection on the Solar Eclipse Beneath the cosmic ballet's arc of light, Where sun and moon embrace in fleeting dance, A wondrous sight unfolds to human sight, A momentary trance, a fleeting chance. As shadows dance upon the earth's expanse, A hush befalls the land, a sacred pause, A time when souls, in awe, take a stance, To witness nature's grand and mystic laws. The sun, a blazing orb, begins to fade, As darkness creeps upon the land below, A cosmic symphony, a serenade, A glimpse into the depths of the unknown. In this brief moment, consciousness may shift, As barriers dissolve, and minds are freed, A veil is lifted, spirits start to lift, And in this rare alignment, hearts may feed. A sense of unity, of oneness, grows, As we are reminded of our place in time, A connection to the cosmos, that flows, A feeling of transcendence, so sublime. So, as you gaze upon the darkened sky, And feel the energy around you rise, Remember, in this moment, you can fly, And let your spirit soar, beyond the skies. #SolarEclipse #Transformation

A reminder this holiday season and in the New Year: Mend a quarrel, search out an old friend, dismiss a fear and replace it with trust. Write a letter to someone who misses you, encourage a youth who lost faith, keep a promise, forget an old grudge. Examine your demands on others, fight for a principle, express your gratitude, overcome an old fear. Take two minutes to appreciate the beauty of nature. Tell someone you love them. Tell them again. And again. And again. ~ Gaye LeBaron~

I Was Petrified…. …..the first time I was faced with trying to negotiate my salary during a job offer. It can be daunting because you don’t want to talk yourself out of a job, right? And, if you’re not lucky enough to have a recruiter representing you, it’s up to you to speak to your worth. Here’s a straight forward guide to confidently negotiating what your worth. ?? Research Salary Benchmarks: Investigate industry standards, considering factors like location, experience, and the specific role. ?? Define Your Value: Identify your unique skills, accomplishments, and contributions that align with the job's requirements. Quantify achievements where possible to showcase tangible results. ?? Consider the Entire Package: Evaluate not only the base salary but also benefits, bonuses, stock options, and other perks. Prioritize what matters most to you and be willing to compromise on certain elements. ?? Timing Matters: Don’t talk money in the first interview. Why? Because you have NO leverage until they express their interest in hiring you. Initiate salary discussions ONLY after the employer has signaled they want to hire you. Then be patient; don't rush into negotiations. Allow the employer to present the initial offer. ?? Present Your Case: Articulate your value proposition, linking your skills and experience to the company's goals. Highlight any additional responsibilities or skills not initially discussed during the interview. ?? Remain Flexible and Open: Be willing to compromise and collaborate on finding a solution that works for both parties. If the employer can't meet your salary expectations, explore other areas such as additional benefits or performance-based bonuses. ?? Practice Active Listening: Pay attention to the employer's responses and be ready to adapt your approach based on their feedback. Understand their constraints and try to find mutually beneficial solutions. ?? Get It in Writing: Once an agreement is reached, ensure that the details are clearly outlined in the offer letter or employment contract. ?? Express Enthusiasm: And genuine interest in joining their team and contributing to the organization’s success. Remember, a successful negotiation is one where both parties feel satisfied with the outcome. Approach the process with professionalism and a collaborative mindset. #salarynegotiations #negotiationskills
