“Thanks for letting me into your inner circle…” John Ruhlin is someone I’ve looked up to for years, ever since I was introduced to his GIFTOLOGY work by a friend years ago. He came out to Boston and keynoted the first reward summit - out of the kindness of his heart, and boy did he deliver. John passed away tragically this summer - and I was thinking of him this morning. Sharing the video text he sent me after his keynote in hopes he inspires you like he inspires me. Miss you Buddy!

Some of the most impactful (and fascinating) work I've been a part of in the first 2/3 of 2024 is the Compensation / Total Rewards client projects we've done with Mike Chalmers & his team. From Total Rewards Philosophy and figuring out what client workforces truly value to building out Job Frameworks & Architectures so organizations can optimize their payroll spend - it's been eye opening to see the impact on culture and performance.

Today, 30 People Leaders at Constant Contact including myself will be trained and certified in Mental Health First Aid. As a Total Rewards leader, the support I've received from senior leadership in prioritizing Mental and Behavioral Healthcare for our employees and their families, and understanding it's impact at work is NOT something I take for granted. Thank you Mary Rusterholz - SPHR and Frank Vella for your ongoing support and advocacy. Being surrounded by individuals who share this passion to the point we already have a waitlist for our next offering of the training makes me want to do a backflip- the people of CTCT never cease to amaze me (note to self: learn to do a backflip).
