?? Struggling with Muscle Soreness? Here’s What You Need to Know! ?? At Revolution Medicine, we know that achieving your fitness goals can come with challenges—like persistent muscle soreness, especially if you’re working out hard several times a week. Here's how our team of experts can help you optimize your recovery and keep you on track: ? ?? Protein & Muscle Recovery: If you're working out with heavy weights 4-5 days a week, getting enough protein is key to supporting muscle repair and growth. Aim for at least 1-1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight daily, especially on workout days. Plant-based? No problem! Include protein-rich foods like beans, quinoa, seeds, and greens. ? ??? Top Muscle Recovery Tips: -Rotate muscle groups to avoid overworking the same muscles and allow each group 3-4 days to recover. -Post-workout recovery matters! Include a protein shake to replenish your muscles. -Try recovery boosters like Epsom salt baths, foam rolling, and stretching to relieve soreness. -Consider supplements such as creatine, HMB, magnesium, and GABA to enhance recovery and reduce muscle fatigue. ? ?? Expert Support for Your Fitness & Wellness Needs: Our fitness and nutrition coaches at Revolution Medicine are experienced in helping you balance your workout routine to reduce muscle soreness and optimize your nutrition for better muscle growth. And the best part? Our coaching programs are covered by insurance!

As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, it can be tempting to hibernate and put your fitness routine on hold. But staying active in the colder months is more important than ever! ??♀??? ? Here are our top tips to help you stay motivated and keep moving: ? 1. Layer Up ??: Dress in breathable layers to stay warm without overheating. Don't forget a hat and gloves — most body heat escapes through your head and hands! ?? 2. Warm Up Indoors ??: Get your blood flowing with a 5-minute warm-up inside before you head out. Think jumping jacks, lunges, or stretching to prepare your muscles for the cold. ? 3. Try Winter-Friendly Activities ??: Walking, jogging, or playing with your kids at a local park can be great ways to get your cardio in while enjoying the fresh air. ? 4. Make It Social ??: Invite a friend to join you for accountability and fun. Whether it's a brisk walk or an at-home workout, you'll be more likely to stick with it! ? 5. Indoor Workouts ??♂?: On days when it’s too cold to venture outside, opt for home workouts. Bodyweight exercises, yoga, or even dancing are great ways to get your heart rate up! ? Staying active boosts your mood, energy levels, and immune system, which is especially important during the colder months. So bundle up and keep moving! Your body (and mind) will thank you. ?? ? What's your favorite winter workout? Let us know in the comments! ??

?? How Long Does It Take for Ozempic to Work? ?? Ozempic is making waves in the weight loss journey! While results can vary, many experience a healthy weight loss of about 1-2 pounds per week. According to Dr. Michael Glickman, “You tend to lose weight slowly, about one to two pounds per week, which is a good, healthy cadence.” Patients often see non-scale victories almost immediately, with some reporting reduced cravings and appetite in just the first week! If you're on Ozempic, remember to stay hydrated, get plenty of sleep, and consider incorporating strength training into your routine to optimize results. Embrace the journey—every small win counts! ??? #Ozempic #RevolutionMed #EvidenceBasedMedicine #FunctionalMedicine #washingtondc #Health #Obesity #WeightLoss #Zepbound #Semaglutide #Ozempic #Wegovy
