?? Exciting News! ?? We are happy to announce the completion of the CAD assembly model for the first prototype at REVOLaunch! This prototype will be used to demonstrate a proof of concept, of course, but also to demonstrate feasibility at a representative scale for as low cost as possible. The vehicle shown in this image will cost less than $5k to make. The entire test campaign for the prototype will be less than $500k total (including material, design, construction, and testing). The prototype is a scaled down version of the MVP (minimum viable product). With the completion of the individual components and assembly model (what and how everything fits together inside the aerodynamic shell), we are now ready to take a significant step forward in our journey. Our MVP is more than just another product or launch service - it's a solution designed to address the ultimate constraint on space travel: cost. Foremost, what makes REVOLaunch uniquely positioned for unimaginable success is that we are taking advantage of physics rather than fighting against it. We are also incorporating cutting-edge technology and innovative design features that will drastically lower launch costs. We know that our solution will completely revolutionize the way we think about going to space... Here's a sneak peek into what our MVP offers: 1. Fuel-less Launch: Something just feels wrong about burning chemical propellants straight into the air (especially millions of pounds within minutes). If we are ever to venture off the surface of Earth and begin to settle in space, in addition to the question of cost, we must also solve the issue of the negative environmental impact of collecting (or producing) and burning rocket fuel. 2. Rapid Sequential Launch: The most efficient rocket companies today still require several days between launches. With our approach, we will be able to provide over a hundred launches to orbit per week. 3. Savings 10x / 100x (or more): Newer rocket companies have often touted a savings of 10x compared to non-reusable rockets. Reusability is a great accomplishment and a step in advancing the global push to develop launch capabilities, but there is still one inherent design flaw prohibiting access for the general public: fuel. Just the fuel alone costs several millions ($) per launch. The savings realized with reusable rockets is primarily from not needing to build a new rocket every time, but that's where it stops. With REVOLaunch, we are predicting a savings of an additional 10x (or more) versus fueled reusable rockets, or 100x (or more) compared to non-reusable. Excited for today! We first applied in May as a single-founder startup, and then shortly after reapplied with the addition of our newest cofounder, Eromogbai Omoijuanfo. His strong character, multifaceted leadership background, passion for innovation, entrepreneurial mindset, and acute engineering skillsets make him the ideal cofounder for our company. Today, we will find out if we were accepted into the S24 batch.
