REVMAN is proud to be an active supporter of Switchpoint Tooele and the Tooele Community Resource Center in Tooele, Utah by providing bedding and bath products to help those in need.? We recently had the privilege to partner with Switchpoint Tooele to provide all the bedding products for their new Harris Community Village project that held its ribbon cutting ceremony on November 20, 2023.
Harris Community Village and Resource Center is a $31 million project that sits on 10 acres of land and serves as a hub for the unsheltered and those experiencing financial difficulties who are at risk of becoming homeless in Tooele County, Utah.?The facility will have 66 apartments consisting of 42 studio apartments, six one-bedroom apartments and 18 two-bedroom apartments.?In addition, there will be 44 shelter beds, a soup kitchen, food pantry, laundry room with lockers, showers, medical clinic, 24/7 childcare center and case management offices.
On exceptionally cold nights during the winter, the Tooele County Health Department will give authorization for the facility to declare an emergency situation to house additional individuals experiencing homelessness in an overflow area.
REVMAN is committed to giving back through serving and supporting the communities where we live and work. We seek to have a positive impact in our communities by strengthening our cities and neighborhoods through donating our products to charitable organizations as well as donating our time to serve others in need through our?We Care?initiative. REVMAN opened a new distribution center in Tooele County, Utah in April 2022 and began supporting Switchpoint Tooele and the Tooele Community Resource Center shortly thereafter.
Switchpoint Tooele’s mission is to empower families and individuals in need by addressing the underlying causes of their poverty and providing each client with a personalized, comprehensive plan that supports them on their journey to self-sufficiency and the opportunity to contribute to the community. They believe that each individual has worth and value, and that change occurs when people are treated with respect and dignity, empowered with skills and resources to better their circumstance. They also believe that every individual is a part of our community and can be free from harm in stable affordable housing, with self-esteem, hope and abilities restored, to thrive and contribute in society.
