I've done an IV drip before and I'm not sure what the nurses name was, but she was so sweet. I usually see Kisha for injectables, she does excellent work and also has a comforting personality. I see Lisa for tattoo removal, and I'll be honest tattoo removal kind of sucks (painful but quick) but Lisa is knowledgeable and the results I've had so far are incredible. Exciting NEWS!! THE GROUP OB-GYN ANNOUNCES 2024 EXPANSION Davenport, IA (July 31, 2024): The Group Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists, P.C. has announced an expansion in 2024 at their current location on the corner of Eastern and 53rd. The addition and some interior renovations will provide approximately 7,300 sq. ft. of additional space. Construction is scheduled to begin on July 30, 2024, and is expected to take approximately 12 months to complete. The new building design will enhance the patient experience and improve access to maternal and women’s health services. It will feature 13 new examination rooms, 4 new procedure rooms, 2 patient education rooms, and a new conference room. This expansion will allow for more immediate scheduling opportunities for both new and existing patients. In addition to increasing patient capacity and improving patient access, The Group will begin offering mammography screenings starting in October 2024, projecting 3,000+ screenings on an annual basis. Dr. Briana Barclay, Physician and Owner of The Group expressed her excitement for the addition of services that will better serve patients. "It has always been a goal to offer on-site mammography, making our practice more of a one-stop shop for our patients," said Barclay. "We recommend mammography screenings annually for women over 40, and for younger women based on a personal risk assessment. Having the ability to schedule patients for a mammogram at the same time as their annual exam will be more convenient for them. Our goal is to save more lives through early detection, and making the scheduling process as easy as possible may encourage more regular screenings." Since relocating and expanding in 2014, The Group has experienced significant growth. The number of patient visits has increased by 92% since 2014. The Group currently has twenty-two providers, comprising eight physicians, seven midwives, five nurse practitioners, and two physician assistants. Six of the twenty-two providers joined the practice between 2023 and 2024. The expansion of maternal and women’s health services in the area was addressed by Dr. Kenneth Naylor, physician and owner of The Group. “I am excited to be able to meet the needs of more patients and to add a service such as mammography that will benefit all women in our area,” said Naylor. “Despite the great challenges facing health care, our team has devised impressive solutions.
