We are so excited to announce our bid with Denver Parks and Recreation to convert an underutilized lot in the Villa Park neighborhood was approved and we will be opening a new urban farm at Osceola Park! We are so thankful for our partnerships with the Office of Councilwoman Jamie C. Torres, Denver Health, and the Villa Park Neighborhood Association for making this possible. We look forward to working with more residents of Southwest Denver with our mission to work with communities historically impacted by social inequities to develop resident leaders, cultivate community food systems, and create an economy owned by the community. This expansion will activate an under-utilized lot owned by Denver Parks and Rec and convert the space into an urban farm with family gardens with the capacity to grow an additional 2,500 pounds of food for residents of Southwest Denver. Produce harvested on this lot will be distributed to residents by CSA food boxes distributed at the Denver Community Health Centers and to Villa Park community members in partnership with Villa Park Neighborhood Association. We will continue to post updates on the new urban farms’ transformation. We appreciate all your support!

?? Exciting News! Re:Vision will receive $800,000 in federal funding to expand our food security and urban agriculture efforts in Southwest Denver! Thanks to the support of Congresswoman Diana DeGette, we'll be using these funds to purchase a one-acre vacant lot from our community partner, the Southwest Improvement Council. Our team is beyond excited to know that we'll permanently retain our urban agriculture and food sovereignty identity through this land purchase. #Denver #Colorado #Westwood #Agriculture #UrbanAgriculture

KUSA-TV, 9NEWS covered our work to develop affordable housing for Westwood families as a way to fight against gentrification. Partnering with the Urban Land Conservancy, we're in the early stages of developing housing units on our campus. Our goal is to preserve the community we serve, ensuring residents have the choice to remain in Westwood. Rising housing costs threaten to price out Westwood families. But through affordable housing initiatives, we're not only working to serve the immediate needs of our community but also securing a future for our heritage and legacy. Grateful to 9News and Angeline McCall for covering this and to everyone that continues to support our vision of a Westwood that owns its food systems and local economy. Si se puede! #Colorado #Denver #Westwood #AffordableHousing

Our community fridge was featured in Denverite! We're proud to host one of Denver Community Fridge fridges because it helps us better support our Westwood community. With food insecurity rising across the city, we're proud to be able to feed about 3,500 people a week through our food security work. Having this resource available 24/7 is so valuable. Access to culturally relevant food is crucial, and having constant, reliable resources like this fridge helps us meet community's food security needs in a holistic way.

Pajarito lindo ???? The first Denver Community Fridge in Southwest Denver is officially open! This fridge does a super important job at Re:Vision by offering access to food to our community that can't make our usual food distributions or are caught in an emergency. We're proud to be part of the 6 fridges (and one pantry) that make up the Denver Community Fridges project.
