SXSW is here, and REVERB’s Music Decarbonization Project's impact is reverberating! ?? The team - Tanner Watt, Livi Hally, Lara Seaver, and Paige Roth - will be in Austin this week celebrating a major milestone: Willie Nelson’s #LuckReunion is once again running without fossil fuels! Luck was one of the first festivals in the US powered by batteries. One of our goals with the Music Decarbonization Project is to prove that live music can be powered cleanly and efficiently. In partnership with Overdrive Energy Solutions, we helped Luck Reunion go battery-powered in 2023 and 2024. Now, Luck is continuing on its own, showing that clean battery power isn’t just possible—it’s the future. Luck's not stopping with batteries. They’re also tackling fan travel! This year an estimated 1,400 guests will arrive via shuttles provided by Luck, cutting traffic and reducing fan travel emissions by 36%. Urban Tilth's North Richmond Farm is a community-built urban farm that serves as both an agricultural hub and organizing space for environmental justice in Richmond, CA. The farm reimagines equitable food systems - providing fresh, organic produce to local families, employing local residents, restoring community connections to the land, and training rising leaders of color in sustainable agriculture. Beyond growing food, it's a dynamic space where environmental advocacy, job creation, and community resilience take root. This visit represents something bigger—artists using their platform to engage with climate solutions and environmental justice initiatives that make a real impact.
