Always a good time when GTM Buddy is in the HOUSE! An amazing time was had by all at our first Mic and Mingle NYC, a gift from Ron Baden at GTM Buddy. Thanks to Ron, Raquel, and all who came out. We're lucky to have so many great enablers come together! And yes, these people can really sing!
What an incredible night in NYC for our first Mic and Mingle event! From reconnecting with familiar faces to meeting new friends (and discovering their amazing singing talents), it was truly a night to remember. From our GTM Buddy team, Ron Baden and Raquel Mazziotti had the pleasure of meeting so many of you in person—sharing laughs, great conversations, and of course, some unforgettable karaoke moments! NYC folks really showed out, and showed us their amazing talent behind the mics. Other cities out there should be nervous of their competition! We’re already counting down to the next stop on our Mic and Mingle journey and can’t wait to keep making incredible memories with this amazing community. Over the past half-century, women have transitioned from peripheral roles in sales and operations to occupying strategic positions in revenue enablement, customer success, and go-to-market leadership. As a profession that is estimated to be 68% women, today, International Women's Day, is a day to consider what has changed and what has not. Early barriers, such as limited access to executive sponsorship and gender-biased compensation structures, have been systematically dismantled through advocacy and data-driven policy reforms. Not solved, but improved. How do we consider what is left to be done, and work effectively for change? Fortunately, there are a variety of good reads out there to help us. For instance, Gloria Feldt’s work with?Take The Lead Women?has been instrumental in advancing parity, aiming for 50% female leadership representation by the end of 2025 through initiatives like mentorship programs and inclusive negotiation training. Read anything she writes. Consider?writings by Minda Harts, author of?The Memo, for her powerful leadership for racial and gender equality. There are many powerful and simple lessons here. Are you more of a video person? For a concise, impactful resource, I recommend?"A global history of women's rights, in 3 minutes". It is a great reminder that women can do more than give birth, raise children, keep house, and take orders - women can do anything!
