Our portfolio company Revel is accelerating EV adoption in cities by providing fast charging and electric rideshare options. Today, the company launched its first fast-charging station in San Francisco, featuring 12 chargers with 320 kW capacity. Members of the Toyota Ventures team attended where they saw San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and Paul Suhey, co-founder and COO of Revel, cut the ribbon at Revel’s opening. Today we opened a 24 fast charger site at JFK airport. When we talk about rideshare electrification, it cannot be done without reliable fast charging at the airport, where drivers get their most valuable rides. I want to thank the incredible team at Revel, which continues to work day in and day out to make fast charging accessible to all New Yorkers, as well as our partners at the Port Authority who are as committed to building charging.

We just DOUBLED the electric vehicle (EV) fast charging capacity of JFK International Airport! Twenty-four new Revel chargers have been installed at the For-Hire Vehicle Hold Lot 1 West charging station, for a total of 46 now available. These additional chargers help meet growing demand for electric vehicle charging infrastructure at Port Authority facilities, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 3,720 metric tons each year. “The Port Authority and its private partners like Revel [and Con Edison] are leading the charge in building a net-zero future, and this latest expansion of two dozen more fast chargers at JFK is a major boost in that work,” said Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton. “More access to electric vehicle charging equipment helps advance our sustainability goals and reaffirms our agency’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.” Head to our Press Room to learn more: https://ow.ly/OEfn50Vl2Jq #ElectricVehicle #EV #Aviation #Airport #Sustainability
