I agree with the authors in this NEJM AI editorial - #HealthSystems are rapidly adopting #AI and #digitaltools, but sustained #impact requires more than just #implementation. Key questions to consider: ?? How will we invest in the infrastructure needed for continuous monitoring and improvement? ?? Do we have feedback loops in place to refine workflows as technology evolves or methods to report concerns of a safety event? ?? Are we providing the necessary training and education to ensure teams - #doctors, #nurses, other staff - can effectively and safely use these tools? ?? Beyond initial costs, does the long-term "value"—improved provider well-being, efficiency, and patient outcomes—justify the investment? Or more importantly, how do we determine the "value" and use it to drive the prioritization of what the health system should focus on? Successful adoption isn’t just about deploying #technology; it’s about building the right #ecosystem to support it. ?
