We love a good field trip! Today, part of the team from Prosper joined some of the team from REV Birmingham for a visit to our Magic City Match awardee, Kuntry Kitchen. The quaint and eclectic outdoor barbecue oasis is perfectly placed within Elysian Gardens in Avondale and offers some of the best BBQ in BHM. Kuntry Kitchen is located at: 101 40th St S. Birmingham Al 35222. They're open Thursday from 4pm-8pm, Friday and Saturday from 4pm-10pm and Sunday from 3pm-8pm. A mobile food truck and catering are also available.

Judson Young was a 2024 Birmingham Open for Business Ready Stage award recipient. His awarded funds have allowed his barbering business to grow beyond the chair, giving him the freedom to explore other services and transform his business! We can’t wait to see how much Judson the Barber continues to thrive.

Meet Olivia! ?? Olivia is our Finance & Admin Manager here at REV. Olivia returned to REV in a blaze of glory following burning down the Zyp Bikeshare program in 2019. She does the finances and the admins and other boring things no one else likes to do. She likes walking, riding bikes, busses, trains, dive bars, PBR, vegetables and sewing. She has no children or pets and all her plants are thirsty. P.S. She also wins the award for driest sense of humor on the team, as evidenced by this masterful social caption.???

The city of Seattle got REV’d with our team’s appearance at the International Downtown Association’s Annual Conference. A fun time was had cycling around the city, visiting the country’s busiest fish market, and, of course, learning from some of the best minds in downtown city planning!

Small business owners met their financial matches at our recent event, Small Biz Speed Dating! Local entrepreneurs chatted one-on-one, speed-dating-style with finance industry professionals to learn more about achieving their financial goals and making decisions that will set them up for success. Thank you to all who shared their knowledge and expertise, as well as those who came to learn.

This past Thursday, President and CEO of REV Birmingham David Fleming had the opportunity to speak to young professionals at the Rotaract Club of Birmingham. The organization hosts various speakers spanning a variety of industries throughout the year to share their work and stories. David spoke on REV’s vision to make Birmingham the most vibrant city in the southeast.
