Fordham University - Murphy & Bahosky Field Reuther+Bowen recently completed civil and structural engineering services at Fordham University on their Rose Hill Campus to transform an existing multi-purpose athletic field into an NCAA-approved soccer facility. The project also included new synthetic turf and other improvements at an adjacent softball field.? To accomplish the overall goal of expanding athletic playing surfaces to meet NCAA requirements, land was re-captured through the incorporation of a structural site retaining wall.?This allowed re-grading of the site to expand the athletic fields and new below-grade stormwater detention facilities to improve stormwater management at this area of campus.?Other improvements included a new outfield fence for the softball field and batting cages.?Jack L. The project included the major renovation and consolidation of the Murray and Davidow Buildings in downtown Scranton. Reuther + Bowen provided structural & civil engineering services for the 42,000gsf facility which included a complete fa?ade replacement along the urban streetscape. Congratulations to HC Architects and the entire design and construction team. The Friendship House Whole Person Care Center offers mental health, substance use disorder and physical health services under one roof in the heart of downtown Scranton. The facility ensures the coordination of health, behavioral health, and social services in a patient-centered manner. The goal for the innovative facility is improved health outcomes and more efficient and effective use of resources.
