So glad to have hosted this ??
The best discussions at our dinner this week weren’t about finance or business, they were about life. During my trip to NYC with Joe Moran I had the chance to connect with some incredible people, and one of the highlights was a dinner hosted by my friend CJ Gustafson creator of the newsletter Mostly Metrics and host of the Run the Numbers podcast. What stood out? -How talented CJ is, not just as a writer and podcast host but as a connector of people. -The community that he and Matthew Mozzocchi have built is special, and I’m fortunate to be involved. -The best discussions weren’t about business; they were about what others do with their free time, where they’ve traveled, and just fun banter. The setting at Rethink Food NYC made it even better, with an unforgettable meal prepared by Chef Fox Schanzer and hosted by the Resident Hospitality team. This was the perfect recipe for real conversations. A huge thank you to CJ Gustafson, Matthew Mozzocchi, and everyone who joined. Great meeting David L., Will Cureton, Sal Javed, Lisa Mogensen, Cherry M., Jon Gross, Michael Meerovich, Jack Kuntz, and Rafe Petkovic. Beyond the dinner, my trip to NYC also included a visit to our IMA Financial Group, Inc. office, where I had the chance to connect with colleagues. I also got a behind the scenes tour of Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. from a close friend. Even though I’m a Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics fan, this was a cool experience. Until next time City of New York...

With egg prices skyrocketing by over 45% in New York City since December, many are struggling to access this essential ingredient. ?? At Rethink Food, we’re incredibly thankful to our wonderful partner Handsome Brook Farms for their continued #eggdonations during these challenging times. This support enables us to provide New Yorkers in need with delicious and nutritious meals. We’re also grateful to One Love Community Fridge for their tireless efforts in distributing some of these eggs to New Yorkers facing #foodinsecurity. Together we are making a difference and feeding New Yorkers delicious, nutritious and culturally-relevant meals. ??

Last week, I got to visit my old stomping grounds, NYC, and spend the day touring companies that are making big moves in sustainability—each in their own way. ??? Rethink Food: Started the morning seeing how they turn excess food into 40,000+ meals every week for NYC and Miami communities. By partnering with local restaurants, they’re tackling food insecurity and waste at the same time. ?? Tiffany & Co.: Their sustainability team is doing fascinating work in diamond traceability, ensuring ethical sourcing through a fully integrated supply chain. We also got to check out their T Smile cord bracelet, made from recycled ocean-bound plastic and supporting The Nature Conservancy’s goal to protect 4B hectares of ocean by 2030. ?? Kiehl's Since 1851’s: Loved hearing from Maggie Kervick about how sustainability isn’t just a department—it has to be embedded into every function. Their refillable packaging and “Recycle & Be Rewarded” programs are great examples, and I was especially intrigued by their renewed commitment to cleaning up Mount Everest—transforming collected waste into art to raise awareness. ?? The Rounds: Wrapped up the day diving into circular economies and the challenges of scaling sustainable food delivery. The balancing act of growth + impact is real, and seeing how they’re tackling it was a great way to end the day. Biggest takeaway? Sustainability isn’t a one-time initiative or a single department—it has to be woven into everything. Whether it’s food security, ethical sourcing, packaging innovation, or systems-level change, every company has a role to play. I’ll definitely be taking the lessons I learned on this trip into the rest of my time at Kellogg and in my next career. Excited to keep learning and finding ways to make an impact. Big thank you to Shubha Ganesan and Jamie Asfaw-Cooper for organizing this amazing trek! #Sustainability #Innovation #Impact #MBAAdventures

Millions of Americans rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to put food on the table. Now, proposed cuts could strip benefits from over 9 million people, making it even harder for families, seniors, and low-wage workers to afford basic meals. At a time when food insecurity remains a national crisis, we should be investing in solutions that strengthen access to nutritious meals—not rolling back essential benefits. Leaders like Molly Park have been on the front lines, advocating for food assistance programs that ensure no one in our communities goes hungry. We need more public officials with her commitment to fighting hunger and supporting equitable food systems. Cutting SNAP isn’t just a policy decision—it’s a moral one. We must stand together in opposing these harmful reductions and pushing for policies that uplift families. Let’s keep the pressure on policymakers to protect and expand food assistance programs, not gut them. https://lnkd.in/ewhshXJb
