Last week, the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) hosted our largest Consumer Products Committee meeting yet! A big thank you to all our members who joined us early for a super successful meeting, ahead of the ICPHSO (Intl Consumer Product Health & Safety Organization) Annual Training and Symposium. It was a busy morning filled with networking, peer-to-peer benchmarking, and educational presentations by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) and our Committee Strategic Partners Crowell & Moring and UL Solutions. Adam Grant capped off an exceptional lineup of thought leadership on Day 2 of #LINK2025 with wisdom that strikes the perfect balance —profound yet immediately actionable. Among our favorite takeaways: when leaders move from 'this will never work' to 'how could this work in the future?' —everything changes. As a leading voice on workplace dynamics, Grant knows that psychological safety means making space for those canaries in the coal mine to be heard. And perhaps most powerfully, his perspective on the evolution from hiring for ability to hiring for agility captured exactly where retail needs to head.
