Using data in workforce development doesn’t have to be overwhelming. State and local governments across the country are already proving that. At our Miami Kick-Off event, 10+ state and local governments launched projects and learned how to use data and evidence to drive real impact in their communities. Here’s what we learned: ?? Evidence matters. You don’t have to guess if a program is working, and you can use data to know for sure. And that power isn’t just for researchers—it’s for everyone. ?? Data collection doesn’t have to be daunting. Small adjustments or big-picture changes —every piece of information helps to improve and refine workforce programs. ?? Procurement is impactful. The way grants and contracts are structured can incentivize evidence-based decision-making, leading to stronger, more effective programs. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going. ?? Want free resources or invites to future events?
