Working with change agents around the globe to create self-sustaining systems that support healthy, educated people.

关于我们

Results for Development (R4D) is a leading non-profit global development partner. We collaborate with change agents around the world — government officials, civil society leaders and social innovators — to create strong systems that support healthy, educated people. We help our partners move from knowing their goal to knowing how to reach it. We combine global expertise in health, education and nutrition with analytic rigor, practical support for decision-making and implementation and access to peer problem-solving networks. Together with our partners, we build self-sustaining systems that serve everyone and deliver lasting results. Then we share what we learn so others can achieve results for development, too. www.R4D.org

And even small changes can make big differences for teachers and learners, so influencing policy is one way practitioners, researchers and advocates can win big — if they are strategic and timely with their evidence and action. In our latest blog post, experts from the School Action Learning Exchange (#SALEX) unpack five helpful, crowdsourced pieces of advice they gathered at the East African Community Regional Education Conference on how to open policy windows and influence outcomes. ?? Combating #malnutrition requires a coordinated effort across sectors, but evidence on the costs and cost-effectiveness of multisectoral #nutrition strategies has been limited.? ? This lack of information impedes the ability of funders, policymakers and program managers to make informed decisions about which interventions to prioritize to improve nutrition outcomes and achieve nutrition-related development targets.? ? Closing this data gap is crucial, which is why the Strengthening Economic Evaluation for Multisectoral Strategies for Nutrition (SEEMS-Nutrition) consortium developed a common approach to conducting costing studies.?? This common approach aims to strengthen the design and implementation of economic evaluations, with a focus on context-specific operational plans or study protocols. It utilizes a comprehensive and fully customizable set of cost data collection tools for estimating financial and economic costs. This guidance document is a how-to guide on the common approach that can be applied by practitioners, field researchers, evaluators and implementers. #GlobalNutrition #SEEMSNutrition Learn more about the approach in this how-to video, or review the common approach guidance document here. https://lnkd.in/gT2BBWev

We are happy to spotlight the impactful?Framework for Action?developed by Last Mile Health and Integrate Health, which presents 16 actionable recommendations for governments and partners to ensure that women community health workers — who make up 70% of the workforce — are safe, supported, and equitably compensated at every stage of their careers. ? ? At R4D, we share this commitment to supporting community health workers as a key approach to advance health equity. For example, we supported civil society organizations in Guinea to advocate on behalf of community health workers, leading to a new law mandating that community health workers and mobilizers become paid government employees rather than volunteers. ? To learn what governments and partners can do to drive meaningful change, explore the Framework for Action here.?? https://bit.ly/womenCHWs #communityhealth #healthequity #communityhealthworkers
