Katie Williford is a bright light working for us in Savannah. We asked her what inspired her to join our team and her story is worth reading. "My 93-year-old grandmother, who I was extremely close to suffered from lymphedema. She eventually developed wounds that had to be treated. I spent the next five years of her life coordinating it all - talking to doctors, scheduling appointments, following up on referrals, transporting, researching, wrapping legs, etc. and constantly thinking - there had to be a better solution… there wasn’t!" "Fast forward, I was attending a senior living conference where I ran into a previous director of the community I was still with at the time. She had recently started working for a company that was new to the Savannah area - Restore First Health." ? "Once I heard 'mobile advanced wound care,' I knew right then - this was a sign from my sweet Grandmommy. She had passed away 7 months prior and there it was, THE SOLUTION!" ? "I now get to work with a wonderful leader (again), honor my grandmother, and help bridge the gap by connecting chronic wound patients to THEIR SOLUTION - Restore First Health!?" ?

Amin has suffered from lymphedema for years and was nearly hopeless until he flagged down one of our nurse practitioners, Courtney Morrison MSN, CRNP, AGACNP-BC. Although advanced wound care is our specialty - Courtney jumped through hoops to make sure Amin got the care he needed for his condition. Care coordination is our top priority, and we do everything we can to help our community.
