A Twin Peaks Restaurants franchisee in Florida filed simultaneous bankruptcy petitions this week, but the company’s co-CEO said the restaurants involved are open and operating “and it’s business as usual.” “Nobody, no employees, no vendors, no customers will notice or see any difference, and there won't be any difference,” said Jack Flechner, co-CEO of DMD Ventures. “And the goal is to resolve this with our debt holder, and once we do that, we'll be even better and stronger than we were before.” https://lnkd.in/gb25hBQi

Trying something a little bit different here ... I had never been to Restaurant Finance Monitor RFDC conference before, but thanks to some pushing and prodding from some industry partners and friends, we made the trek this year. Thanks Cristal, Tammy, Henry, and Emily! If you didn't get a chance to attend, there was a ton of deep and heavy content on the finance side of running a restaurant business. I wrote a 6-part summary of the show - it's not quite as in-depth as one of Jimmy's Branded Hospitality Ventures newsletters - but I tried to call out as much of the action as possible, because brands big and small seem to be revitalized and optimistic going into 2025.
