Please apply at the link below by November 4th and share with anyone in your network who may be a good fit! “Our Subscription to Addiction” is a 40-minute documentary about a young filmmaker’s experience grappling with phone addiction and discovery of a youth-led digital well-being movement. The film has won grant funding and mentorship from Netflix’s The Social Dilemma, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation, and Melinda Gates’ Pivotal Ventures. Position Overview: As a Documentary Researcher, you will conduct comprehensive research and collaborate closely with our Director to iterate a narrative that is both accurate and impactful. With the film nearing completion, we are looking for someone to help fact-check and refine the narrative to ensure it is thorough and well-informed. Key Responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive research on the impact of social media on mental health and gathering relevant news clips, statistics, and video clips backed by research to enhance the documentary’s narrative. Qualifications include: Strong research background, ideally with experience in documentary production, and experience researching the impact of social media on youth, and a minimum undergraduate standing.
