The Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and MEP Axel Voss of the European People's Party (EPP) in the European Parliament invite industry sustainability leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to "Driving Due Diligence: Omnibus Unpacked," taking place March 24 in Brussels, Belgium. This event will serve as a key platform for discussion on the EU Simplification Omnibus package as it relates to the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (EUCSDDD). Driven by the aim to simplify rules and enable effective implementation, this first Omnibus proposal seeks to reduce the administrative burden created by several EU laws without substantially altering the rules or compromising the agreed policy objectives. The event recognized private recruitment agencies nearing completion of the RBA’s Responsible Recruitment Program (RRP) and provided a platform to discuss next steps in advancing a viable market for ethical recruitment. The RBA's Chemical Management Leadership Program (CMLP) is a voluntary commitment program designed to promote and harmonize industry efforts on advancing responsible chemical management in global electronics supply chain. The program aligns with the OECD due diligence on responsible business conduct, promotes the sound management of chemicals toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and seeks to advance implementation of the Global Framework on Chemicals. The RBA's Responsible Environment Initiative (REI) invites members, partners, and other stakeholders to participate in a public consultation on the draft CMLP materials. External feedback is essential to ensuring the program meets industry needs and supports effective chemical management strategies.
