RHD is honored and excited to be a part of this initiative with our new program, A-Team, which serves as a fourth emergency service. A-Team's mission is to quickly assist individuals in crisis, guiding them towards the best outcomes while easing the burden on other emergency services.?
Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato shared today how her proposed budget includes investments to strengthen public safety and emergency preparedness. Thanks to my team (Jenn Batterton and Kate Vander Wiede pictured here) and our partners for piloting innovative approaches to public safety. Together, we're testing solutions like having behavioral health responders go to 9-1-1 calls for people experiencing a mental health/substance use emergency. We're also testing "Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion," so law enforcement can connect people with histories of substance use and mental health challenges to case managers instead of arresting them. ? https://lnkd.in/gJYe-HkK CONNECT (Congress of Neighboring Communities) Resources for Human Development
