Last week, Erik and Lauren attended an IFMA event and learned all about Avista's vehicle electrification strategy. Resource Synergy has decided to participate in their "make ready" charger program, through which Avista will pay 100% of the installation cost. All we need to buy is the charger. We've decided to install a two-port level two charger on our roof-top parking lot to charge our company EV and plug-in hybrid. If you haven't checked out Avista's generous EV incentive programs for work and home, be sure to do so. You may be surprised by how affordable electrification can be. #EV #electrification #ResourceSynergy

Alex and Erik recently conducted an insightful site visit to the Spokane Tribe of Indians' Reservation, where they assessed the landfill and transfer center’s current state. By evaluating the existing infrastructure, we’re one step closer to supporting sustainable waste management solutions and helping the community reach its environmental goals. ???? #SustainableFuture #ResourceSynergy #SpokaneTribe

We’re thrilled to share that Resource Synergy has installed sonar sensors in dumpsters throughout Seattle Public Schools! These innovative sensors track waste levels in real time, allowing us to predict when pickups are needed, prevent overflows, and optimize waste collection schedules. By doing so, we’re not only enhancing operational efficiency but also cutting waste costs and promoting a cleaner environment. #WasteManagement #OperationalEfficiency #ResourceSynergy

Resource Synergy was honored to join our clients, the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe, the Spokane Tribe of Indians, The Coeur d'Alene Tribe, the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho of Ktunaxa Nation, and others for last week’s TRIBAL SOLID WASTE ADVISORY NETWORK meeting. It’s exciting to see all the progress these tribes are making toward waste diversion programs and rewarding to know that we’re playing a role in making it happen! #WasteDiversion #WasteManagement #ResourceSynergy

Erik Makinson presented with Nicole Sanderson from the University of Washington Bothell at the PCAPPA Pacific Coast APPA conference in Spokane. It was rewarding to share the benefits UW Bothell experienced. ? Earlier this year, Resource Synergy installed sonar sensors in the trash, recycling, and compost dumpsters on the UW Bothell campus. Utilizing these sensors, we actively manage their hauling services, catching missed collections and identifying right-sizing savings opportunities. The sensors also provide accurate data for sustainability reporting and certifications. Other universities were impressed with the results, and we may soon be supporting several other West Coast campuses.
Are you ready for PCAPPA Spokane 2024?? We are! #pcappaspokane2024

Last week, Jamie participated in a Climate Resilience Planning panel with Steve Hinton, Conservation Scientist with The Tulalip Tribes, at the 2024 Infrastructure Assistance Coordinating Council conference in Wenatchee. Jamie shared the work Resource Synergy’s Carbon and Waste Teams are doing with multiple Tribes in Washington and Idaho in climate impact and carbon emissions reduction planning and how many of the same measures can deliver both resilience and mitigation benefits. IACC conference has been a catalyst for WA communities to build relationships, learn about other communities’ projects, and acquire millions of dollars in critical infrastructure funding since 1989! #ClimateReciliencePlanning #ClimateImpact #ResourceSynergy

Thank you to the Spokane Tribe of Indians for hosting us at the Wellpinit Trading Post and engaging in meaningful discussions about climate impacts! Community members shared their experiences and expressed interest in learning more about emission-reduction measures. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to chat with us. Stay tuned for updates on Upper Columbia United Tribes (UCUT) member Comprehensive Climate Action Plan projects! #ClimateAction #ClimateImpacts #ResourceSynergy

Next week, Resource Synergy Program Manager Jamie J. will present at the Infrastructure Assistance Coordinating Council (IACC) conference in Wenatchee. She'll be joined by Steve Hinton from The Tulalip Tribes and Bud Denney from the Makah Tribe, discussing how tribes can plan for climate resilience. As communities across Washington grapple with threats from natural disasters resulting from a shifting climate, Tribes are leading the way. The presentation will highlight how some Tribal communities plan and protect infrastructure in light of these emerging threats. https://lnkd.in/g-5g5vdB #ClimateChange #IACC #ResourceSynergy
