That’s a wrap…on the Fall RDC Breakfast Forum Series! For our final breakfast, Ralph Samuels, VP Community and Government Relations, Holland America Line gave an in-depth review of Alaska's electoral races, providing fascinating insight into the wins and losses around the state. Thank you to everyone who brought canned goods to breakfast, we were able to collect a ton of great food for the Food Bank of Alaska. RDC is continuing our food drive through December 13th, so come by our office at 301 W. Northern Lights Blvd, Suite 406, and drop off your canned goods. Congratulations to THE TED STEVENS FOUNDATION on receiving a $2 million donation from ConocoPhillips to expand the Alaska Leaders Archive at the University of Alaska Anchorage campus! Thank you to UAA Chancellor Sean Parnell and his team for hosting and supporting this effort to highlight such important history for Alaska's future!

The Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Ports program recently awarded the City of Seward a $46 million federal grant for a new Seward Passenger Dock opening in 2026! This grant will enable the City to deliver shore power to cruise ships to power down diesel generators while docked at the port – substantially reducing emissions and improving quality of life for Seward residents. This collaborative effort from the City of Seward, Alaska Railroad, and Royal Caribbean Group will be a great investment in modernizing and improving Alaska’s cruise industry! RDC is proud of the innovations our tourism industry continues to make to reduce its impact while supporting Alaskan communities. #ResponsibleDevelopment

In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, the Alaska Works Partnership put on a great expo yesterday in Anchorage, and we hope our Fairbanks friends can join in the fun tomorrow! This event spotlights the opportunities within the construction industry’s apprenticeship programs and provides hands-on experience for those looking to start their apprenticeship journey.
