It was so much fun to have Alaska Resource Education present on "Fueling Alaska's Workforce" at our recent RDC Breakfast Forum! During breakfast, ARE took our audience through some of the new and creative ways they are educating students and connecting them to our industries. Educating the next generation on resource topics is vital to the future of our industries, and we are lucky to have ARE out in our communities. You can view the presentation now at https://lnkd.in/ejTrkhM now!

Growing Alaska Through Responsible Resource Development
关于我们
RDC is the Resource Development Council for Alaska, Inc., a statewide business association comprised of individuals and companies from Alaska’s oil and gas, mining, forest products, tourism and fisheries industries. RDC’s membership includes Alaska Native Corporations, local communities, organized labor, and industry support firms. RDC’s purpose is to encourage a strong, diversified private sector in Alaska and expand the state’s economic base through the responsible development of our natural resources. RDC was formed in 1975, originally as the Organization for Management of Alaska's Resources (OMAR). After three years working to obtain a trans-Alaska gas pipeline, RDC changed its name to reflect its broader agenda of education and advocacy on all resource issues in Alaska. Happy Throwback Thursday! On this day in 1968, the discovery of Prudhoe Bay changed the course of Alaska's history and energy landscape. Located on the North Slope, Prudhoe Bay holds one of the largest oil fields in North America, and its development paved the way for the construction of the iconic Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). Today, Prudhoe Bay remains a symbol of innovation, resilience, and progress for Alaska's economic future. #ThrowbackThursday
