Noticing more facial hair on men than usual? Men growing moustaches in November is a show of solidarity for Movember, a global movement that raises awareness for men’s health issues, including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. In the UK, men are three times more likely to commit suicide than women, and prostate cancer is the most common cancer for men. Many men struggle to open up about their health, but raising awareness and taking action can help prevent unnecessary suffering. Here are a few simple steps to support your loved ones: ?? Check in with friends and family: Just asking, "How are you, really?" can make a huge difference. Services like Resony Health offer digital therapy to help support those tougher conversations. ?? Encourage health check-ups: Early detection is key to better outcomes. Goodbody Health provides at-home health tests, including prostate cancer screenings, so men can easily stay on top of their health. ?? Remind them to take time for self-care: Whether through exercise, mindfulness, or talking with someone they trust, it's important to prioritise wellbeing. ??Bonus tip: For at-home testosterone and fertility tests, check out Ted's Health and Mojo - UK’s leading at-home sperm care provider to further support physical health. #Movember #MensHealth #HealthKey

A new report from NICE - National Institute for Health and Care Excellence says that digital therapies for mental health could free up thousands of NHS therapist hours. Their analysis reviews NICE-recommended digital therapies and found this data for Depression, PTSD and Social anxiety. There is a still an evidence gap in cost savings for (GAD) generalized anxiety disorder, a hugely prevalent condition. Resony digital therapeutic helps manage GAD and was reviewed by NICE as part of its Early Value assessment.

I am back from my overseas visit. What a great opportunity to work with a rich and diverse group of stakeholders. This project comes to end soon. I plan to post a bit more about my experience with this later. It has been truly enlightening. My next project. Well I plan to do more with Resony Health and I would be really keen to hear from talking therapy providers about partnering. Currently we are looking at GAD and I am interested in testing a return on investment project for a digital therapeutic in an NHS setting. #iapt #talkingtherapies #Generalisedanxiety #digitaltherapeutics #mentalhealth #NHS

Time to address the staggering reality facing our society. In just 13 years, the cost of poor mental health has become 3x skyrocketing to a staggering £300 billion annually. This is not just a statistic; it's a crisis unfolding before our eyes ?? We have seen funding cuts for NHS services, people languishing for support in "hidden" waiting lists and clinicians leaving public health to private. Meanwhile, wellness gurus and apps continue to suggest that we can meditate our way out of it. Not sure. Or perhaps Netflix and TikTok can help us forget our worries for a bit. Or Doomscrolling? Or even better, ChatGPT can rescue us with AI therapists or calming generated videos. ?? No, I don't think so. This has to come from within. As a society, we cannot afford to overlook the urgency of this issue. Let's come together to advocate for change, break down barriers, and to prioritise mental health as a fundamental aspect of well-being. ??? Next time when you see a colleague, a friend or a customer ask them if how they are doing? Don't push your opinion or sale but try to listen without judgement. Every action counts. ?? Together, we can create a future where mental health support is accessible, timely, and compassionate for all. #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma
