OREGON RESIDENTS: ACT NOW! ?? UPDATE: We have a new bill to advocate for, SB 535. What changed? Unfortunately, the Chair of the House Health Care Committee did not advance HB 2959 before the deadline – we’re up against powerful insurance companies who are opposing our effort to expand this vital family building care, but we will keep fighting to get this done. There's some good news though... We were ready for the insurance companies' opposition and thankfully have a strong champion in the Oregon State Senate who is ready to fight for IVF access in Oregon. Sen. Deb Patterson chairs the Senate Health Care Committee, and she has scheduled SB 535 (the same language as 2959) for a hearing and vote on April 3rd. Here's how you can help ?? 1??OREGON WE NEED YOUR TESTIMONIES! Right now we need to get as much testimony on the public record in support of SB 535 as we can. You can submit testimony right now until April 5th at 3:00 PM. See the ?? here?? https://lnkd.in/euAfBU-d 2??Send a personalized email to the Senate Health Committee, asking them to support SB 535, which will help expand family building care. We've made it easier for you in the ?? in our comments. 3??Consider registering for the in-person Oregon Family Building Act Advocacy Day on March 31st! Advocates will be gathering in Salem to meet with lawmakers and share their stories to make sure they know the kind of impact this vital legislation would have on Oregonians. The day includes a legislative advocacy training to equip you with everything you need to meet with legislators and advocate for SB 535. Register via the ?? in our comments. 4?? RESHARE THIS POST. Share with anyone else in Oregon who may be willing to support these efforts.

Thank you for sharing this @thelaurennorris "March is Endometriosis Awareness Month???It takes an average of 7-10 years to get a diagnosis, it took me 13. Endometriosis affects about 1 in 10 women and doesn’t get the proper funding or education it deserves. I endured 13 years of chronic pain before having a doctor believe me and listen to me. I was told majority of my life that my pain was “normal”, this “wasn’t a big deal”, I was “needing attention” and “you must just have a low pain tolerance”. Having endometriosis means showing strength every day & using our voices to raise awareness." Act Now Georgia State Residents?? Tomorrow, March 26th, at 9:30 am, the Georgia House Judiciary Committee has scheduled a hearing for HB 441, the Prenatal Equal Protection Act. What is HB 441? HB 441 defines a “human being” to include “a living human and an unborn child at every stage of development from fertilization until birth.” How could this bill impact access to IVF? This bill has implications that pose a serious threat to the legality of the delivery of fertility care treatments. In other words, this bill could prevent doctors from being able to practice in vitro fertilization (IVF) in accordance with the best standards of medical care. We need to remind lawmakers to keep IVF legal and available in the state by raising our collective voices.?? Here's how you can help ?? 1. Share this post! Whether you're in Georgia or not, spreading the word helps expand our call for action. 2. If you are a Georgia resident, please send this email directly to the House Judiciary Committee. We've made it easy with this??https://lnkd.in/ehkyWev6

When your district speaks up, Congress listens. Your voice becomes part of a larger conversation that shapes federal policy. We created a congressional district map showing where current Federal Advocacy Day attendees are located. These are the states where we still need more advocates. Even if your state already has participants, your Member of Congress may not have a representative from your district. Your voice is important! Look for your state and district and sign up for this year's Virtual Federal Advocacy Day to make sure every voice, in every district is heard across the U.S. Find the map here: https://lnkd.in/eeZ8YmPB Federal Advocacy Day is in partnership with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine - ASRM
