    Since #NASCAR teams are headed to #Daytona500, and #RedBull recently announced a return to the sport, here's a #TBT to the ORIGINAL on-track paint scheme when we debuted Vickers in the No. 83 in the Cup Series at Daytona International Speedway. This was not my favorite design - and the principals at Red Bull Austria and USA agreed because they quickly dropped most of the hood/door stripes and simplified the design over the next few races... compare that to the July Daytona race 5 months later, with much simpler branding that more closely matched the F1 teams. They went through a lot of paint, decals, uniforms, and apparel in year one, LOL! After all, when you're repping a globally recognized sports marketing icon like Red Bull, who needs superfluous "stripes"? 🙂 But this also illustrates how industry leaders I've partnered with in this sector, like Red Bull and Hendrick Motorsports, achieve and then consistently maintain success - by continuously evaluating and evolving when you recognize areas for improvement!

    Honoring one of the most important national holidays of our nation - #VeteransDay 2024 this Monday, November 11. EVERY day in the USA bears witness to championing our military veterans and their contributions, plus the sacrifices they (and their families) make. As a member of families with multiple veterans in different branches, including my father (US Navy) and late uncle (US Marines), someone who's proudly hired and worked alongside many veterans professionally, and worked with all of the military branches in various professional capacities over the past 20+ years, it's always an honor to celebrate our military forces and support our veterans! And since we just completed a national election, remember this - if you cherish your constitutional rights, including the ability to vote, you have those thanks to our veterans creating that freedom, and then defending it every single day... past, present, and future. #ThankYouVeterans

  • Over the past year, we've met with different types of businesses to review and discuss business development and growth strategies; companies that have been successful in getting past the start-up phase, but then stagnate internally or externally to market in terms of growth, diversification, or profitability. Based on feedback directly from these proprietors, many companies figure out how to launch or maintain a revenue-generating business, but struggle when it comes to #evolution. We continue to attribute this to several factors, starting with their #people - one of the most common errors is assuming that leadership capable of "owning or managing" an existing business is also equivalently capable of "growing" or "fixing" a business. In our 15+ years of our own leadership guiding numerous successful businesses from micro-cap start-ups to publicly traded Fortune 500 corporations, that assumption has consistently proven inaccurate. Launching, managing, growing, and rebuilding businesses each require unique skills and experiences.   • Textbook lessons in organizational, change management, and #accountability failures, unfortunately, can serve as valuable lessons to other corporations and their leadership from Boeing's latest Senate testimony: https://lnkd.in/erVwbWbf. After disclosures and DOJ settlements related to the 2019-2020 737 Max accidents, it remains clear this venerable brand continues to suffer from major systemic problems manifesting themselves in negative ways for its employees, customers, and end users. Comments from our Principal: "Rather than arbitrarily attack or criticize, I think the narrative here is one of learning from the disparities between being genuine change agents to resolve problems VS. 'hollow action focused on effect.' In this case, what's particularly noteworthy is the Boeing 737 Max-MCAS accidents and DOJ settlements five years ago, where flagrant missteps were documented, acknowledged, and committed to being fixed. With 20+ years of career invested in making a positive impact in aviation, many of my best friends being career pilots, and recognizing what a pillar Boeing is to the US and global aerospace sector, the revelations related to how obvious the misjudgments were with MCAS were frankly just stunning. So it must be heartbreaking for so many parties with a vested interest in Boeing to witness ongoing systemic and high-order issues. For leadership training, it's another example of how even at successful and respected firms, executives, C-suite and Board members can be out of touch with their employees, customers, and market - and unwilling and/or unable to take necessary steps to "do the right things." Most of us who have held leadership positions have encountered this with peers. Publicly say one thing, but privately do another. Resistant to change. Prioritize their interests ahead of others. Cut costs simply to boost short-term results. Demand accountability for others, but not themselves. Expect action plans to fix or grow a business, yet uncommitted or unable to do so themselves. Champion awards and rewards for leadership while reporting negative results. Etc. If you study the AIB reports for NASA's Challenger and Columbia accidents, as I have in detail, there are commonalities with many of Boeing's disclosures of issues that I suspect others will eventually start to recognize, discuss and hopefully learn from. "People+Process=Results" is a favorite slogan and trademark for accountability I created from successfully developing businesses. Despite 5 years of talking about 'change', Boeing continues acknowledging problems and flawed processes, and those are created by flawed people, specifically senior leadership. That's where accountability starts, something everyone hopes Boeing corrects and we can all learn from." - Eric Giangiordano
