Shawn Mullins of Owens Corning and Justin Koscher of the PIMA - Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA) have been elected RESNET SAB Chair and Vice Chair respectively. The RESNET SAB provides an opportunity for suppliers to better understand RESNET, network, and provide supplier input to the RESNET Board of Directors. In collaboration with RESNET and a team of AWE members and stakeholders, we’re excited to announce a proposal for a $2,000 tax credit for builders of WaterSense-certified homes! ?? This initiative is modeled after the ENERGY STAR Homes tax credit (Section 45L) and aims to incentivize sustainable, water-efficient construction. ??? ?? Why WaterSense Homes Matter:? ? 30% more water-efficient than standard builds?? ? Equipped with WaterSense-labeled plumbing products & no leaks?? ? Savings of ?? $388–$978 annually on utility bills for homeowners? ??Next Step: We are building a coalition with partners and legislators to work towards making this a reality.
