We are excited to share that we have been named a winner of the 2024 Eversource Energy Excellence Awards! CET won in the equity category for our work with Spices of Asia, a wonderful grocer in West Springfield. Small grocers like Spices of Asia often fill in the gaps for full-service grocers in areas where grocery access is limited. Spices of Asia has reduced their carbon by 112,000 pounds - that's like planting over 2,000 trees! We’re proud of our team for the incredible work they did on this project, and for always prioritizing positive customer outcomes while driving #energyefficiency solutions. #ExcellenceAwards24? https://bit.ly/4cXSle6??

Nobody will remember: - your salary - how “busy you were” - how many hours you worked People will remember: - how much you talked about heat pumps -whether or not you took advantage of IRA incentives for sealing & insulation -how even when they changed the subject, you brought it back to heat pumps

CET President & CEO Ashley Muspratt on the New England Heat Pump Accelerator. ?? ??
The New England Heat Pump Accelerator, backed by a $450M EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant, is such an opportunity to get the Commonwealth on track to meet our 2030 and 2050 decarbonization goals. The Market Hub is clutch, filling a key void in supply chain support and incentives. If you ask me, Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Innovation Hub dollars should go toward enabling #InclusiveUtilityInvestment financing to get heat pumps into low- and middle-income homes. In Massachusetts, small businesses represent 97 percent of commercial and industrial energy customers and 40 percent of energy use in the state. It's also a known fact that decarbonizing commercial and residential buildings is critical to meeting our climate goals - they contribute to 30% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. ? CET offers no-cost assessments to take the confusion out of climate action for our customers. Like Douglas Thayer, a woodworker in rural Western Mass whose workshop was in desperate need of weatherization.? ? "My heating bill is going to be less at no cost to me and no effort at all. They came and did all the work. Paperwork was simple, it was very nice." ? When a small business takes action, it drives meaningful change for a more resilient and sustainable future. But don't take our word for it, hear what Douglas has to say below. https://lnkd.in/gWxZr6gX
