The CSE team is responsible for the interface designs as well as the comprehensive cognitive work analysis that informs those designs. This team works closely with our talented group of software developers, providing design concepts, representational designs, and functionality requirements as guidance for their system development effort. RCS is excited to solidify our working relationships with the Air Force’s newly opened Academic Partnership Engagement Experiment (APEX) office in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Technology Council & Fortyx80, and appreciate Michael Bianco for the discussion.?During the recent PTC APEX event, RCS was able to present our prior Air Force SBIR projects including work on Command and Control, Imagery Analysis (both still and motion), and effective decision support built from leading edge AI/ML engines and LLM models.?The discussion focused on how APEX can help RCS cross the transition ‘Chasm of Death’ to DoD programs and commercial applications. RCS is a VOSB with over 40 years of experience delivering Decision Centered Design solutions to customers across a variety of domains. RCS is one of the longest practicing Cognitive Systems Engineering (CSE) companies who successfully deploys solutions that prevent cognitive biases and?enable human-computer team to identify, react and succeed in the face of unforeseen or unpredictable circumstances.

We were able to present a summary of our precision AI for human-AI/autonomy teaming as well as our ability to build decision support systems that out-decide our adversaries. We look forward to working with the Senators office to leverage these capabilities for the region.
